Dj Keoki tacked the “superstar” qualifier onto his name long before he became an underground tastemaker at New York's hottest dance clubs. Keoki dubbed himself as such even before promoters started flying him and his record crates all over the world, which was before his three Moonshine mix CDs sold an impressive 100,000+ units. But his path to superstardom has not come without a few pitfalls. He has struggled with crack addiction and had problems with an ex-boyfriend who was also a club promoter who was recently charged with hacking up a drug dealer. However, the present day Keoki's quiet life ended when he migrated to New York from the Hawaiian Islands at the age of eighteen. Starting as a busboy at a trendy nightclub, the young, soon-to-be spinner snagged a few DJ shifts and spun himself into a local celebrity. A decade later, he has relocated to the Los Angeles, where he is currently on the brink of stardom as Moonshine's top dog representative.
